Grand Slam Tournaments


  • There are four most important annual tennis tournament which are as follows :-

1. Australian Open
2. French Open
3. Wimbledon Open
4. US Open

 These Tournament are played on different type of ground.

  • Australian Open are played on Hard Court
  • French Open are played on Clay court
  • Wimbledon Open are played on Grass Court
  • US Open are played on Hard Court
These tournament are played in five category :-

(a) Men's Single
(b) Women's Single
(C) Men's double
(D) Women's Double
(e) Mixed double

Grand Slam - refers to the achievement of winning all four major Championship with in a single calendar year with in one of the five categories.

Carrier Grand Slam - Winning all four majors at any point during a carrier.

Golden Grand Slam - Winning the gold medal at the Summer Olympic Games in addition to the four major in a single calendar year.

Super Slam - Winning the gold medal at the Summer Olympic Games and four major in a single calendar year + ATP Final + WTA Final.
