Know About Atal Bihari Vajpayee


  ATAL BIHARI VAJPAYEE (25 DEC 1924 - 16 AUG 2018) was an indian politician.
  He served as PM of india three time. First for a term of only 13 days in 1996 and 2nd time for a period of 11 months from 1998 to 1999 and finally for a term of 5 year from 1999 to 2004.

He was member of parliament over four decades, having been elected to LOK SABHA LOWER HOUSE of parliament 10 times and twice to RAJYA SABHA UPPER HOUSE of parliament.
He also served as MINISTER OF EXTERNAL AFFAIRS in  the government of MORAJI DESAI.
He was the first PM who was not a member of INDIAN NATIONAL CONGRESS party to have served full five year term in office.
He was conferred india's highest civilian award BHARAT RATAN by the president of india PRANAB MUKHERJEE in 2015.
The Modi government in 2014 declared that Vajpayee's birthday 25 December will be celebrated as GOOD GOVERNANCE DAY. He died on 16 August due age related illness.
